We are proud to be partnered with UPPAREL, a textile recycling company that uses our fabric scraps to create new products.

 

UPPAREL is a leader in upcycling and creating a circular cycle within the fashion industry. The company started with socks, and now they’re upcycling all sorts of textiles into quality, useful products including our crinkle fabric wastage.

 

Within the first month, we have worked with them to prevent 1,552 kg of textile waste from going to landfill. This has also prevented 6,209 kg of greenhouse gasses from entering the atmosphere.

65% of the recycled garments are sent straight back out to charities, helping to find a second use for our swim.

UPPAREL has also prevented over 540,000kgs of textiles from being created as they reuse recycled fabric waste as an alternative.

To date, UPPAREL has kept over 1.25 million pieces of textiles out of landfill, part of which has stemmed from bond-eye.
